Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F degrees.
Butter a 9x13 metal baking pan and line with parchment paper.
Make sure to butter the parchment paper as well. This will enable you to lift the blondies out out the pan after baking.
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the butter (1 cup), brown sugar (2 cups), salt (¼ tsp), eggs (2), and vanilla (1 tsp).
In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the flour (2 cups), baking powder (1 tsp), and baking soda (¼ tsp).
Add dry ingredients to butter mixture and stir until just combined.
Spread into the prepared pan. Sprinkle pecans over top if using.
If using nuts, you may sub your favorite nuts for the pecans.
Bake at 350°F degrees for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Allow to cool about 3 to 5 minutes.
Use the parchment paper to lift the blondies out of the pan, place on a cooling rack.
Cut into pieces and serve.
The edges are the best!
