Green Beans Almondine

You can make perfect green beans every time with this simple but classic recipe. This versatile dish will be one you reach for often, since it pairs well with just about any meal.

Instructions
Place a large skillet over high heat. Add olive oil (1 Tbsp) and butter (1 Tbsp) and heat until shimmering.
Add shallot (1 small) and sauté for four minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add garlic and bacon, sauté until bacon (2 slices) begins to crisp, approximately five minutes.
Add almonds, stirring often, until almonds begin to toast, approximately three minutes.
Add 1 tablespoon butter if the mixture seems dry.
Add green beans (1 lb) and toss with the almond/bacon mixture until heated through, about four minutes.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
